NOW I BECOME MYSELF

Father Simon Marsh, Vicar of St Michael's, explained how he feels about the centenary:

"Close your eyes for a few moments and try to imagine living and working with someone one hundred years old who has the vitality, the openness to humanity, and the lungs of an adventuring toddler. That's what it feels like being part of St Michael & All Angels, Bramhall. As parish priest I have the privilege of living alongside many, many people who are able to say, in company with the poet May Sarton, "Now I become myself". That's what authentic church life is really and truly all about: becoming who we're truly meant to be, comfortable and at home with God, with ourselves and with others. It's a great place to be and friends old and new are assured of a warm welcome"

Bramhall Parish Church's Centenary Logo, specially commissioned, is the gift to the parish of Henry Garrood Esq., in Loving Memory of his late wife, Ella Garrood; we are immensely grateful to him, and join in giving thanks to God for the life and witness of Ella
